you will be hard pressed to find a 9800 pro under 200 with the 256 bit memory unless newegg dropped them lower than 205 i havent checked this week. If not i would say a 9600 xt

seen em for 198, so yeah, 9800 pro.

Thanks for the replies. Theres a local guy selling a brand new 128mb 9800 pro for $200. I guess ill pick that up. Thanks

After yuo get the card, Save up for something like VGA Silencer or other better cooling solution and you can likely get a very nice overclock out of it to atleast XT speeds of 412/365. cheers

what is better in gaming performance 9500pro or 9600pro? how would 9700 compare to 9600xt?

Another vote for the 9800 Pro. Can't go wrong with that or the 9700 Pro, they both beat the hell out of the 5950 so its all good.

9700 pro is much better than 9600 xt but im not too sure about the 9500 and 9600 pros.

9500 Pro is better then a 9600 Pro, but about equal to a 9600xt if memory serves. 9700 Pro is faster then all of them, heh

any 9700 should be able to beat the 9600xt, the 9600xt is only "good" because of the higher clock speeds, but the 9700's have 8 pipelines and have better performance when u turn like AA and AF on in higher res.
