Problem transfering files to new HD

Ok, well I got a new HD for my main comp. I moved my old 40GB (was primary master on main rig) as a seconday master on my little via box I have. I shared the drive and gave full access (win xp pro no service packs). I can access the shared drive but I cant get my files in my user folder.

Ex. X:\Documents and Settings\User

I need to really get to My Pictures. How can I get those documents? Thanks.

Make a new administraitor account on your new system with the same exact name as the account on the old system. Or use Linux.

Thanks Mr. Radar I had tryed that but it didnt work.. I got some error.

I did solve it by connecting to my server via RealVNC (thats where the HD is now) and accessing the folder and sending it to a shared folder on my main comp.

So this problem is solved, I still have my other problem tho thats here in the storage forum. 1 down and 1 to go.

Yup. Real VNC was my last resort before hitting up linux.

I keep an extra copy of linux that runs off cd for problems with wondows like these.
