I recently got some Kingston HyperX, 2-2-2-6. I've heard some rumors that they might be BH-5, but how can I tell? Anyway from just within windows or would I have to take the heatspreaders off?
If the label is still on the RAM, look at the number. If it has an "A", then it don't have BH-5 chips (example: KHX3200A). If it's non "A", then try overclocking it. If you get a high overclock using 2-2-2-6 timings, then it's probably BH-5.
