DVD-RW Help

I have a problem. I just built a new computer, and I am using the Aopen DWD1608/ARR dual layer burner. I am using nero to burn stuff. However, nero picks up the device, but only as a virtual recorder???? I cannot acutally burn cd's. If I put items to be burned into the burn list, write cd is not an option, only burn image. Whats the deal? I have tried updating the firmware of the device as well. I have tried using nero express and reg. nero.

Bump... I'm having the same problem. Only at one time my burned worked with my system and now all of the sudden it does the same thing as posted above.

I've had this problem once but forgot what I did to fix it, hehe. Any help?

try a newer version of Nero.

Are you sure you did a proper firmware update??
Try burning songs using Windows Media Player to test your Drive.

hmmm... i've never used M$ to burn to my drive but I'll see what I can do to test it. I'll also try to update the drivers, thanks for the hep btw.
