CherryOS
Roughly half of you wrote in to let us know that CherryOS, that new Mac emulator that lets you run OS X on your PC, is finally officially available. So does it actually work? Several people have told us that they’ve managed to get the trial version up and running, though not without some bugs, plus there’s no support for sound capabilities or network bridging, at least not yet. These sorts of problems go with the territory when you’re running an emulator, but the really troubling part is that apparently the developer has “borrowed” some of the code used in the open source PearPC emulator. Very poor form, and probably reason enough not to plunk down the $49.95 for this.
[Thanks everyone who sent this one in]
