remove old drivers ?

hi everybody
have d/loaded a set of omega drivers for my PNY 6600gt card
now the question is do I have to completely remove the original drivers, if so how ?
I would assume that any rements from the old ones could interfere with the new set of drivers

also would these new drivers greatly effect my 3d mark 05 score of around 3300
