One of my mates has just bought a Mobile Barton 2500+ and is trying to get a decent overclock. His rig is as follows:-

Mobile Barton 2500+ (AQYHA)
MSI K7N2 Delta (Latest BIOS)
512MB x 2 Corsair Value Select RAM VS1GBKIT400C3
Chieftec Dragon Case
Leadtek 6800
500W PSU - not sure what make/model

He is currently running @ 2.24Ghz (195x11.5) with 1.7v vcore.

He is trying to get the FSB up to 200Mhz but the pc will only boot when at 200x8.5, once he ups it to 200x9 or higher it wont boot.

Any ideas why he cant overclock when running with a 200Mhz FSB?

I have the same board, and a 2400+ mobile barton. If I use certain multipliers, I can't overclock nearly as much. He may have a similar problem.

I'm running 210 fsb on my 2x512mb + 1gb corsair valueselect ram (dual channel is enabled in this config! =), so the board should be able to handle that fsb with even three sticks. Can't remember what my PSU is right now, but I know it's rated less than 500w.

i used to have a K7N2 delta, their not the best boards for overclocking :/

your best bet is a Abit NF7-S (NOT S2), but these boards i think are hard to find nowa days
