Well as we all know, building your own computer config/tweaking working on it is a long process. I particularly am not happy till everything till the smallest detail is fixed/completed. I was recommend to get some Round Floppy cables. I bought this http://www.svc.com/prc18fd2-blk.html. Now I assume that is going to my optical drives? I have a DVD ROM and a DVD Burner. This is where I want to know if I made a dumb mistake. The flat "Tape" dual cable thingy for my optical drives that I was using has I beleive 8 more pins in it. It perfectly fits the Optical drives. The round cable I bought is not a perfect fit into the optical drive, however I can fit them in. Did I buy the wrong cable, or are these going to work when I stick them in to replace the tape cable? I also bought http://www.svc.com/cskit-blk-11.html for some wire management. You can see here what I am dealing with, it really makes me sick - Im a perfectionist. http://img442.imageshack.us/my.php?...dscn16432gd.jpg
Side note: Any special instructions I need to know before I attempt to sleeve my cables? I know its long and tedious but its a must for me. Im assuming you just put the wires in the sleeves cut them to size, cut about a inch of heatsink for each end and put a lighter / blowdryer or something pretty hot to "Shrink" the wrap tight.
Any solutions or input is helpful. I also need to know about those cables. Thanks again - Hopefully I can finish up everything tonight and post some new pictures. Im pretty happy I finnaly got my ramsinks as well. Bought some OCZ BGA Ramsinks.

Edit: Ugh http://www.svc.com/rc18hd2-blk.html - I hope that cable wasn't the one I was supposed to buy. It seems Optical drives are ATA connectors in the back, and someone had said get some round floppy cables. I assumed they knew what they were talking about and I having no clue, just agreed with them without researching. Goes to show what no-research does to you. But then I read " The 18" length is perfect for reaching the hard disks in most systems." I figure that harddisks and ATA and all the other good stuff. Its the wrong one - Im so confused.

You can always take a ribbon ide cable, cut the ribbon into segments (making sure not to cut any of the wires), then use cable ties to make ghetto round cables.
