Emergency Help Needed on undeleting lost data

Quick and dirty
Firend needs some data back from a quick formated PATA RAID 0 setup
he has since reinstalled XP and battlefield.
anything i can get back is a bonus

I am going over to his place in the morning with an external HDD trying to save data.

Basicly, what programs have any of you used to save setup like that?

I think his chaces are very slim, but any options are much needed
