Does anyone here run a RAID5 config? If so, how does it perform if one drive goes bad? Have any of you tried taking a drive out and sticking in another to see if it rebuilds the array with no problems and how fast? I was thinking about going with a RAID6 for its extra protection but wanted to hear some advice from the people who already have RAID5 or RAID6. Below is a quote which explains RAID6.

A RAID 6 array is essentially an extension of a RAID 5 array with a second independent distributed parity scheme. Data and parity are striped on a block level across multiple array members, just like in RAID 5, and a second set of parity is calculated and written across all the drives.
RAID 6 provides an extremely high fault tolerance, and can sustain two simultaneous drive failures without downtime or data loss. This is a perfect solution when data is mission-critical.
RAID Level 6 requires a minimum of 4 drives to implement
