The Xbox 360 with it's DVD rom drive spinning is louder than my computer... anyone else have that problem?

No, can't hear my drive at all, just the fan.

yeah all of them are really loud when they spin its so annoying... although the sound of the game/movie blocks it out

You should hear my ps2. I have to close the glass doors on the cabinet its in.

On the contrary
Like ALOT of people, who go out to spend alot of money to 'lower the fan noise'
The drive is what makes the 360 loud, not the fans.
The 360 fans a very quiet.

now that you mention it, it's not as loud just when surfing around live and stuff, so I guess it is the drive becuase the ony fans are the exhausters, the ductwork from the CPU and GPU has them pull heat from there.
