Ok so like its been a long time since I have looked at PC stuff. Back with the socket A I remember 4 slots of RAM was resticted to below the max FSB like if you had 4 DDR400 in they would be set back to 333 max if I remember correctly. What I'm wondering is if these newer AM2 mobos suffer from the same sort of thing. I want to put in DDR2-800. If I were to got 512MB then I would have 4 of them for 2GB. However the 1GB chips have the same timings as the 512MB so I could put 2 of them for 2GB. If there is no restriction on the FSB like there was in the socket A then I will need to know what is better 4x512MB or 2x1GB.
