The yellow button on my guitar hero guitar is sticking when you press it, just started today. If you press it from one side it's fine but from the bottom half (where press when playing the game) it sticks half way down a little and I have to push it really hard. I only bought it two days ago but I can't take it back since I bought it at Fry's in Atlanta and we don't have Fry's here in Florida. Anyone know why it's sticking? We like to rock out on some guitar hero in my dorm and I have to borrow the guitar from my buddy down the hall. Maybe some non-conductive lube? Is there a warranty on the guitar and will taking it apart to fix it void that warranty? Maybe that's what I'll do anyway but I just wanted some input since I'm sure many here have experienced sticky button problems before.

Sounds like the button is getting jammed against the housing or something. If you do take it apart, perhaps just file down that edge a bit.

Keep in mind that I'm not telling you to take it apart and do this, 'cause you'll most likely void your warranty.

Also, you could contact . . . Harmonix, I think? The people who made the controller and see if there is anything that they can do.

That's exactly the answer I was looking for, I'll try filing down the button.

*Edit: Worked like a charm, thanks! :attn:
