Anyone play? I just got it, wondering if there are any cool add ons or things to download besides the first patch. So far I have everything maxed out with traffic completely turned off and it's smooth but nonetheless still ugly...

Check out this site http://www.surclaro.com/. I used it when I was playing M$FS and had a blast with some of the wild aircraft offered. At the time I didn't have a powerful enough rig to get the textures and scenery add-ons, but they had some good ones. I know they are supporting, and modding FSX so give it a look.

FSX is worthless without add on airplanes IMHO, deafult aircrafts are retarded. Dreamfleet B58 Lite, FSD Piper SenecaV and Carenado aircrafts are some of my favorites (payware). For freeware avsim.com is good. If you are more into airliners you could check the avsim forums for recommendations.

Very good freeware GA aircraft: http://www.fs-tutorials.com/en/down_plane_C150_01.php

For traffic you would probably want Ultimate Traffic X. JustFlight Mytraffic is ok for if you want high traffic settings without too much FPS impact. And, i dont find 3GHz C2D to be enough for FSX, noticeable better when going up to 3.6 or more.

Man I just tried some mission where I had to fly a jet across scotland, good god it's so difficult :( Especially landing...I ended up landing on grass then taking off because I almost hit a building and then crashing on the 2nd landing attempt.

It seems with Flisght SIm x most of the really good sites that had free add-ons now charge you a membership :(
