Hey is there anyway of password protecting a dvd? and is password protecting a dvd the same thing as encrypting it? It doesn't need to be anything super secure, i just want to make it so the average person can not access what i store on it.

thanks imp

Do you mean a DVD video disk? Or a normal DVD disk. If its a video disk, i dont think you can encrypt that for use in a normal dvd player.

You can easily encrypt the information on the disk, but I don't think password protecting it is possible.

In any case...
Password protection limits access. Any data recovery company could get the data back.
Encryption changes the files so that they cannot be read. No-one can easily get that back :D
