8800GT 1GB STFU Edition

i don't understand why they keep making these 1gig 8800gts and have not made a 1gig 9800GTX. LOL

That would be useful if you were using a dual monitor setup. Checkout Guvernment's thread about it (gaming on one screen and watching movies/TV on the other)
In order to game @ say 1920x1080 and watch a movie in HD, 512MB ain't going to cut it. SLI will also not work if you want that type of setup.
Don't bash those high memory versions, because they do have uses.
About the STFU edition, lol I dunno about that. Kind of cracked me up though.

i ain't bashing the high mem, i just don't understand why you wouldn't give the high mem to the higher end card. A 9800GTX would make better usage of the 1gig than a 8800GT.
Anyway, this card reminds me of that other FTW edition card. CAn't remember who makes that one though. LOL

haha ya when you want to say STFU to someone thats talkin to you at a lan, have ur inverted windowed atx case with this card in and just be like... go look at my gfx card please.
BTW my E6600 is a PWNZORS edition... its one of a VERY select few E6600's that have been taken to 4+ghz solely on air cooling.

Considering it came from the theinquirer i kinda took it as such, but they make no mention of the STFU in the article.
