Another cpu mobo combo from frys, this one caught my eye, a Celly 430 (1.8ghz 9x200) and a ECS 945GCT-M/1333 mobo.... this has 333fsb padmod written all over it.... a 3ghz single core core 2 for 60 bucks, DAMN! Espically considering this is actually a decent chipset with dual channel ram... none of this single channel low end nvidia / via chipset crap.

MOBO SPECS

I've been considering one of these 430 combos for a long while. This is one of the better ECS boards they've offered with it though. I just wish they would stick GbE on these things. Still, it might make for a good upgrade on my son's HTPC.

ya GbE would be nice but even on my file server at my house i dont use gigabit as the router is 100mbit which is plenty fast.... this thing would make a sweet file server base... 4 sata ports onboard video a low power chip hmmm to upgrade my fileserver... no no i cant i need the money for other things, the gf is spending alot of my monies.

It's a decent deal, not as good as the X2/ecs combo they had a couple of months ago, but still a good deal for what you get. This would be ideal for a quiet setup such as a HTPC, those Conroe-L Cellys can be passively cooled without the need for underclocking/undervolting.
