I have a HP Deskjet F4180 Printer with an installed software program to run it. I've had problems with it where I've had to reinstall it, where I couldn't register with the software company, etc. and now multiple copies of the printer running progran are installed, cannot be uninstalled and my printer doesn't work. I know this is a software program problem because the hardware works perfectly, but just won't respond to printing commands. I've also had problems with the printer where it workds sometimes and doesn't work others. I dont know what is wrong with this demon printer but I'm convinced its with the software since I can't be flexible with trying to reinstall it and such. Does anyone know what I can do to get me expensive printer working, and if you need any specific info just ask. Thank You.

Well I would also pay attention to the cable, rare but that could be an issue. As far as removing the multiple copies of the software you will need to

first:
go into all instances of the program that you can find and click on the uninstall options.

Then goto the program files folder and delete the hewlett packard folder.

The run a search on your drive for HP or hewlett and look at and delete any found folders

then start|run| type in regedit and hit OK

then expand the folders HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|SOFTWARE and rclick on and delete the Hewlett-Packard folder

then go to and expand the folders HKEY_CURRENT_USER| SOFTWARE and rclick on and delete the Hewlett-Packard folder

then go here and DL|install and run CCLEANER and do a registry scan-look for HP or hewlett and deselect everything else and fix(remove) only those
http://www.ccleaner.com/

Then go here an DL|install and run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and again look for HP or Hewlett
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Then reboot and run CCleaner again and check

Then go to HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...177566&dlc=en&

Download and install the new driver, read the FAQ's

Good Luck and be careful in the registry
