Consant PC freezing :(

For the past month or so my PC has been crashing in games. What happens is when I start a game like Crysis, the computer without fail after about 10 minutes, it will just freeze, and all of these green/purple flecks appear on the screen, with sound looping in the background (sometimes the sound will keep going and start looping again). CSS seems to be the only game that doesn't do it (only happened once).
All of my drivers are up to date, I've defragged/scanned for viruses blah blah blah. My GPU @ load is about 64C, but used to be 82C until I turned the fan up.
If it's important, my specs are;

Q6600
8800gt
4gb ddr2-667
A random mobo from dell

The "flecks" on the screen, combined w/ the "looping" sound usually indicates insufficient Vcore.

What about your CPU temps?

I agree.

Also check that the graphics card memory is not burning up. Possibly reduce the clockspeeds?

So, what does insufficient Vcore mean? A new PSU?
Tried reducing clock speeds, no difference
