Don't buy a DDR2/DDR3 hybrid board. DDR3 is useless on the 775 platform unless you are after benchmarks.

DDR3 will be useful on i7, but you should wait until you get the whole i7 rig so you can take advantage of better/cheaper/faster DDR3.
