do you guys think this would be a better purchase than the Acer H213H?

I know this one is bigger, but it only has a 90 warranty vs. 3 years from Acer. Would the extra 2 inches be worth giving up a much longer warranty?

extra 4 inches not 2
1920 x 1200 Vs 1680 x 1050

i would go the HP

wrong... 2.5inch difference 1920x1200 (hp 24) vs 1920x1080 (acer 21.5)

Idunno something about a refurbished monitor doesnt quite please me... id rather buy something new.

ok deal, I am against anything with the word refurbished... I'd rather save up for new stuff.

You can purchase a warranty from square trade. The cost is 22.50 for 2 years with FIFTYOFF coupon code.

I've got a w2207h,22" version.Its a fantastic monitor.I've had it for about 6 months now.Its great for everything.I had my Blu-Ray hooked up to it,looks great.

also isn't 1080p on a 24 inch screen overkill ?

There have been a few 22'' 1080P monitors. Though recently I haven't seen any.

22'' 1080P is certainly an overkill, 24'' 1080P would be too small for reading, but should do an okay job for everything else.

slightly off topic, does anyone have an overlay image of how much bigger screen size a 24inch wide is vs a 20 inch wide lcd?

how much more screen real estate would I get?
