Restart, enter the BIOS, leave PC running for about 30 minutes. You will have truest idle temps.

This is my 3rd Asus board & the Asus probe & Bios. readings have always been the same? I am puzzled as to why your readings are so far apart. Check the Asus site & make sure you have the latest version I think its V2.15.00 also flash the latest Bios. 1006 Final.
