so? is this good? I'm getting it all from newegg. I plan on overclocking the CPU to 3.8ghz as it will be my first time. in the reviews I saw a bunch of people getting up to 4.2ghz so I figured 3.8ghz would be a safe goal for my first time.

Looks pretty good hardware wise. You should be able to get a nice OC out of it. I'm not a fan of the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro, I'd say get a better HSF. Somthing like a TRUE.

I suppose you would say my build is good, you practically have what I'm getting XD (judging by your profile :p)

oh haha, sorry. thats just me being lazy with copy pasta lole XD

For the money being spent it looks good but I have a couple suggestions. I'm not crazy about the case but for $50 it looks pretty darn good. Switch the motherboard to a Gigabyte EP45 UD3L, the $20 is worth the peace of mind to me. I love refurbs and returns but not for my motherboard, go with a new one. Switch the hard drive to the Western Digital 640GB drive, larger and faster for $15. With the discounts it is pretty hard to tell what price your getting on the Freezer but XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 is a ton of performance for $30. What is the budget you are trying to stick to?

haha, my budget, its sorta funny actually. This computer was me trying to stick to a $500 budget >.>. you can see I was highly unsucsessful XD
after I send in rebates it'll be over $600.

actually I'm glad you mentioned the open box thing, a few people have warned me and I wasn't worried about newegg being a problem. To be safe though I went to check out the return policy and I realized it could come without the correct accessories. this would be a very big problem so I think I am just going to buy a new motherboard. I'm glad you showed me this one too, I actually like it better than the one I had chose.

oh and I broke down and got the western digital
