I recently was able to resurrect a "dead" 9800GX2 that was given to me. It turns out the bios chip on the secondary PCB was corrupted and needed tweezer reset and reflashed. So, I am in need of both primary board and secondary board BIOS files for SSC version of 9800GX2.
Please if anyone is able to PM or upload it to here that would be awesome.

I have searched the internet and 2 places that have 9800GX2 bios files for EVGA did not have the SSC version, only the vanilla and KO versions =(

Thanks

I guess I will stick with the vanilla BIOS. I found out my issues regarding 2d/3d clock settings are normal for this card, as in they dont change its always 3d clocks. Also, ended up enforcing different low level auto fan profile using rivatuner, working good so far. Thanks all for your assistance =)

Ahh ok, I think my old 8800gts 512mb SSCs had slightly higher than stock voltage when I checked in RT. Hope your experience with the card is better this time round :)

Open up that BIOS in Nibitor and you can set that better fan profile permanently, and never have to use any software to adjust it again!

I have an 8800GTS-512, and afaik all reference models have 4 possible voltage options in the BIOS and all of them come stock with the highest voltage level selected. Some 8800GT cards came w/ slightly less voltage (1 tick down) and you could increase that to the highest level for a better OC.

Here's a thread I did about the BIOS mod on the 8800GT.

On the GTX285 they used pass-through SMD's on the PCB to select the voltage, and the only way to duplicate the SSC voltage on other cards was w/ a soldering iron or a metallic paint pen.
