Single link DVI tops out at 1920 × 1200 @ 60 Hz, 1080p despite being thrown around as incredibly high res, is only 1920x1080, not that high these days in the computer world.
Dual link DVI tops out at 2560 × 1600 @ 60 Hz.
VGA tops out around 2048x1536, but the higher the res the poorer the quality.

If thats true then why can my Samsung 23 " monitor go to 2048 x 1156 or some **** like that. I run it through DVI. if theres something else i missed someone let me know
