Budget HTPC that supports 1080p

I am looking for something that can run XBMC and stream HD without stuttering. My 360 isn't cutting it so I am considering either building a low budget system or getting something like wdtv live. The boxee box looks promising but I don't know if I can wait that long so I was thinking something a long the lines of this:

I am not using any kind of back end so I cant comment regarding XBMC (though Im pretty sure it can interface with most of that software) but Ive been able to stream full DVDs, 1080p mkv and avi files and anything else I have around w/o any issues at all.

+1 for the Patriot Box Office....that thing plays everything I've thrown at it: avi, ISO, mkv, you name it...

I have been using the Zotac A-U for about a year and have no problems playing 720/1080p over HDMI to my 46" Toshiba

The main limitation for me is the 3 SATA ports and low power 90 watt PS.

I originally bypassed that problem by using external enclosures, but I am running out of space again. I am going to try connecting 3x2tb WD Green drives directly to the board.

Shouldnt be a problem since they wont all be spinning at once and I dont have any optical drives or fans sucking power
