Hey guys, ive got an Inter core 2 quad q8200 processor with the stock heatsink,
Now im kinda confused as to something here, All my cores vary by 11 - 13 degrees between there high and low temps, however core#3 sits at 42 degrees permantly.

Heres two screenshots of core temp readings on 2 different clocks.

Anyone got any idea why this is happening?

Some intel sensors stick and won't read below a certain temp. Crank the OC up a bit and run IntelBurnTest and see if it'll read higher then 43*c.
If it won't, it's defective. If it does, it's fine.

okay i run mw2 for a while, not the best test i know but still, heres the results

When i ran the real temp i got this

it doesnt seem to believe that i have a 3rd core at all :S

Not as far as im aware, im new to the whole overclocking and fiddling with core temps and core settings. i might have by mistake but im not aware off it, how would i check?
