After liquid cooling my computer and now having nothing to tinker with I have been tossing around thoughts of upgrading the processor / mobo / ram.

I love AMD products but right now it seems that Intel has the market on gaming cpus so I was looking at the i5 2500k. I have found a cpu and mobo that looks to work together on the egg.

My question is that on the cpu page it states "Memory Types Supported DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333"

Does this mean that higher MHz memory won't work with this cpu?

I was looking at upgrading to http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0359910.

Thanks guys!

I understand that. I might have worded it incorrectly in my original post.

My question is whether or not the CPU will function correctly with 1600 memory.
