Hey guys I was wondering. I have DSL in my home and I just did a speedtest and it came back 1.9mb/s. I Have it hooked up to a 20 meter cable that goes across my living room. Would this have anything to do with it being slower then what it should?

Talking about the phone line cable not the ethernet cable.

THanks

Generally speaking, you should have a longer ethernet cable than phone line. I have a few questions:

What speeds are you paying for?
What site are you testing through, where are you located, where is the test server located?
Was your test done during peak hours?
Have you done a speed test with a shorter cable?
Do you have a router or are you sharing your internet connection with anyone?
