Macbook help

Alright, so i finally have a weekend day off, and i want to fix my old macbook. Here's the model:

I don't know what went wrong, it wouldn't turn on at all. I know it wasn't the HDD as it still works. So does anyone have any ideas? I'm doing a complete disassembly right now.

Please elaborate on what you've done so far. How do you know if the HDD still works, if the Macbook won't turn on?
If you're on battery, plug into the AC adapter and try starting it.

I've taken the logic board out, and HDD out. I put the HDD into a 2.5" HDD enclosure, and found i could boot off of it with my Macbook Pro. I also tried plugging it in, and no boot, nothing. Not even the fan turns on.

Sounds like a bad charger...
