New mombo now my cd/DVD Writer won't work??

So I just put in a new mombo got it all up and running and now my cd writer won't read disks at all I go into bios and it Detects that it's there!

Recheck your connections. Try a new SATA cable. Vacuum the bad electrons out of it.

Dunno, any DVD software you need to install? Is the player recognized in Windoz in device manager?

Ohhh.... New mobo, not a RMA replacement? You need to do a full reinstall for drivers etc. Meaning a new Windoz install.
