microphone trouble

My micro make me sad. I have cheap micro, but it sounds good. 1 problem. When i make loud sound, me mates ahear me nomore. after 1-2 min its normal again. What is it? Windows driver? Can i make auto setting my micro off? I have skype,steam. Maybe this software are guilty?(Skype auto setting is off)

This could be because the microphone might automatically adjust the volume to compensate for loud noises. You could probably turn this off in the Audio settings on your control panel (if you use Windows) under the tab 'recording' or something similar, Or in your audio driver.
