Ok i've stumbled over some of these 3d labs oxygen video cards that cost 3000 bucks, i was curious how do these hold up in gaming compared to geforce's, not that im going to get one but those cards i know are for like rendering and high res modeling, anyone ever use one in gaming??

Even better card there =P

As for gaming, I'd guess they wouldn't be as good as a GeForce 3 or 4. Why? Because these cards are just intended for people doing incredibly complex 3D displays, like those for medical modeling, aerospace engineering, etc. They probably lack all the cool features and gl extensions that gaming-oriented cards have, like pixel shaders, vertex shading, etc. These things are meant to push pixels like a demon on speed, and not worry about too many fancy features.

Not to mention, I'd bet my left nut that they have absolute **** for DirectX support, which, sadly is used more often in gaming than OpenGL.
