3Com 3CR29210 not connecting

I've called up my provider and provisioned it this afternoon. It's been 7 hours and it still isn't working. This modem is notorious for compatibility issues, but I was told the modem is supported. What should I do? I'm thinking of just returning it.

Well if u tried all that u can (ex: irq changes, pci slots, drivers, etc) then yea i would return it.
