Was it correct for me to pick 64 for cluster size during the raid set-up for windows?
I read in the Partition Magic booklet that DOS, windows do not support cluster sizes over 32k.
So in the raid setup, for striped, is the 64k really 32k per disk? So I have nothing to worry about?

During the RAID setup, you selected a 64K stripe size...not a 64K cluster size. As noted in the PM manual, DOS and Windows 3.x/95/98/Me don't support cluster sizes larger than 32K, and you cannot access a 64K partition using these OS's. You can only use 64K partitions with NT/2000/XP.

As I said in your other post regarding partitioning a 60GB drive here...

...formatting the array using PM7.0 and selecting a cluster size of 32K (or using the /Z:64 switch with the "format" command from a DOS prompt) is the optimal method to use when using a 64K stripe set. The /Z switch should always match the stripe size, i.e. when choosing a 32K stripe...you would select a 16K cluster size (if possible, depending on the size of the partition) or using the /Z:32 switch with the "format" command.

If you would like to read up on RAID, there's an excellent tutorial at StorageReview...
