I am comparing 2 video cards, I need opinions on which one is better.

I am buying a video card for my computer. I need a PCI card and I want a GeForce 4. I am comparing a PNY Verto GeForce 4 MX 420 64MB DDR PCI Graphiocs Card- VCG4MX42PP and a Vision Tek Xtasy GeForce 4 MX 420 64MB PCI Graphics Accelerator- 30001523. Visiontek, since they are one of the more reliable brands, and because of its more advanced features. Didn't know that they made PCI Video Cards anymore

I would go for the Visiontek as well. The specs are much better that the PNY.

arent they the same thing? When i asked the same question like 3 people told me that it doesnt matter because they are equal picks. correct me if im wrong here.

The differences are Visiontek has TV out. DVD Decoding and S-Video output. The polygon count on the Visiontek is almost double. I have had 3 Visiontek cards and swear by them. (not at them)

i would suggest that for 100$ you get a new mobo and cpu with an AGP slot....

An ECS K7S5A and a Duron 1GHZ and a Radeon 7200 DDR or a Geforce2 GTS-V goes for around 150$ online, and this will make you MUCH happier than a crappy pci card will....

i don't believe best buys page it says my verto card has 13 million textels/sec when it has 136

Before you buy either of those cards, check out the GeForce lineup from Gainward. They are very reasonably priced, and you can overclock those babies like nobodys business.

As Morbid said here you can OC these things too. Hmm, I just might get one of these for my old system...
