A7N8X ram? (im a newbie)

when ever i start my computer the ram rakes forever to count? it used to take less than 1 sec. now it takes more than 5?

2* 256mb pc2700

as for the ram, well. im not sure lol. i used to get that occationally. have you tried taking the ram out and re-seating it? or resetting the cmos?

The memory test still takes forever. on my BIOS it does not say 512mb memory anymore :/
