I have had the Acer K242HL four four months now. I can't find a review of it online, so I thought I'd share my impressions.
I got it on special on December 1, 2014, when it was $99.99. It was nicely packed and simple to set up. It has an honest 24" screen. It has software video controls but I haven't found them to be necessary. It works with Win7-64 and Win 8.1. The colors are fine to my eyes, and the field of view is intact even when seen almost edge-on. The only drawbacks: No built-in speakers, and it does not come with its own video connect cables; you will have to buy your own.
Overall, it's one of the best $100 I've spent recently.
