Alphacool has a new option for liquid cooling enthusiasts that are fans of hard tubing: Introducing Alphacool Carbon Hardtube. These carbon tubes are made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and are available with 13 mm and 16 mm outer diameters. Alphacool's Eiszapfen fittings are said to work well so no special fittings are necessary. However, carbon is not bendable, so only straight tubes are possible. Pricing is set at $45.80 for a four-pack of 13 mm tubes (each 80 mm long) or $50.89 for a four-pack of 16 mm tubes. Note: When working on the carbon tubes (sawing & filing), it is important to wear protective equipment due to carbon dust. The use of safety glasses, FFP2 masks, and gloves is advisable and work on the HardTubes should only be carried out in well-ventilated rooms or outdoors. Below is Alphacool's press release.
