I have got a 1800+ mobile cpu (AIRGA) that keeps showing 600Mgz at start up no matter what fsb i raise it up to in the bios. Dont know what could be wrong. please help. cpuid shows the same.

mobo: ECS (****) 741gx-m
Elixir DDR pc3200 ram 512
Codgen 400w psu
GforceFX 5200 128m (****)
Tt Volcano 12 Heatsink
Sil Raid 0 pci(ultra 133 type)
2 WD 40g (133)HDD RAID 0 config.

maybe your mobo just dont support mobile cpu try the last bios update or check the ECS for member who have the same board and run a mobile cpu for aditional help
good luck

If you can't change the multiplier in your BIOS you'll have to use a pin-mod/wire to force the right multiplier. First find out all you can about your board and this CPU - voltages, FSB, multipler, etc. Right now you're stuck with a multi of 6 and FSB of 100.

Of course this isn't one of the desired Barton mobiles, must be a Tbred or earlier.
