So I have my parts picked out and the memory is the last part of the upgrade.
This is for a 2700X
I've been reading that the Ryzen respond well to high speed memory, but there is the obvious balance with timings as well.

I have a very basic understanding of it, I just need help interrupting the numbers into real life advantages.

Here are the 3 memories that I've boiled it down to from the QVL list.

#1 DDR4 3200 F4-3200C16D-16GTZR 16-18-18-38 @ $159
#2 DDR4 3200 F4-3200C14D-16GTZR 14-14-14-34 @ $229
#3 DDR4 3466 F4-3466C16D-16GSXW 16-16-16-36 @ $209

How much of a real life difference am I going to see stepping up from #1 to #2 or #3?

Thanks

No real life difference but the G.Skill F4-3200C14D-16GTZR 14-14-14-34 have the legendary Samsung B-Die chips that work so well with the Ryzen platform.

Just because it isn't on the QVL does not mean they will not work. The Motherboard manufacturer just hasn't tested those sticks or hasn't updated it's list. Those Flares, like Dave stated, are B die Samsung memory chips, they work well with Amd Ryzen Cpu's. I have a set on my 1800x/ CHVI board and haven't had any issues. The RGB G.Skill Tridents you linked in your 1st post are most likely the same Ic as the Flares I linked, just with the Trident badge.

I used those TridentZ B-Dies in several B350 and B370 motherboards from ASRock, Biostar and Gigabyte, and they worked in every single one at the specified DDR-3200 14-14-14-34 settings whether they were listed on the QVL or not. I didn't see any need to overclock them, so I just ran them at the XMP settings. Before the B-Dies, my early 2017 experience with the early Ryzens was sketchy mostly due to memory issues.

I do recall you having a few Ryzen setups, that should give the TwoTone, enough confidence to purchase them, I hope.

Someone asked about Motherboard, originally looking at a ASUS ROG Strix B470- basically looking at combo deals at Microcenter.

But since everyone seems to be pushing for the flares, I was thinking about dropping down to the B450 version of the board to save the $50 and put that toward the memory.

I'm not going to do any crazy overclocking. I know vrm's aren't as good but I've read they are acceptable for a 2700X.

The ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING, ROG STRIX B450-I GAMING are on the QVL list for G.SKILL https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-16gfx
