Hello,
I've a Samsung 19" 932Bplus and I'm having tearing (horizontal lines) in one game. I read/tried several articles/tutorials but only triple buffering/VSyn On seemed to fix it. The fps/fraps in full screen is above 30, but still sometimes it lags. My hardware is more than enough for the game btw.

Now I'm thinking it might be the monitor, mine is 5ms, and I saw an AOC 24" T2442e - anyone uses AOC is it good for gaming? 2ms?

* Resolution: 1920x1080 @60Hz
* Horizontal: 30 K ~ 80 KHz / Vertical: 55 ~ 75 Hz
* HDMI * 2 / D-Sub / Component/ Composite connections
* 5 ms Response, 20,000.000:1 Contrast (DCR)
* 250cd Brightness, 170/160 Viewing Angles
* Vesa wall-mount (100mm)

Which is the best response for gaming please? Any 24" monitor's suggestions?
I'd appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance.

Hey. VSync helps but wouldn't be a 2ms better for FPS games?
I read 120hz monitors are good for games, but in what? Vertical lines?

About the tearing after the bunch of tests, it must be a glitchy engine, it happens mostly in the beginning of the game. I don't think it has to do with gpu heat either.

Anyway, thanks about the help!

2ms is just response time, it should not affect tearing. 120hz would help, but tearing will still occur if your framerates are above 120.
