Asus Z690-P No Rear Speakers After Changing Monitor to Asus VS248H-P

Rear Speaker used to be an audio option so I could change from Headphones to Speakers. Now that I've changed the monitor (Asus VS248H-P) there is no Speaker option is not there and has been replaced with VS248-2 HD Audio Driver for Display Audio (monitor does not have speakers?!).

Looking through settings and Realtek I don't see rear speakers......

I know someone has my answer.....got to be something stupid again!

After unplugging the rear speakers, several times....I ran the troubleshooter and it "Fixed" the problem. Now the Speaker setting is back and it works.....

Wonder why or what was changed by this "fix"?
