For reasons that are unclear BSDForums has become an uncontrolled, runaway haven for forum spammers. The 'regulars' there have taken flight, and settled into a new home on daemonforums.org.

Sad to see what was such a fine forum as well as an excellent information source degenerate to the present state of affairs.

I had been noticing this for months. Didn't realize it would run away such as it has. No war on spam? Where are the admins? Seems weird that they just abandoned and started over.

Apparently the Admin didn't care and the mods started a new site. Sad to see a forum go like that.

Good news!

The FreeBSD project is finally, after much work, pleased to announce the availability of an official FreeBSD web based discussion forum. It is our hope that this forum will serve as a public support channel for FreeBSD users around the world and as a complement to our fine mailing lists.
