as my title states, im going to build my own this time. ive never had the dough to do it before. my budget on paper currently is $1431, though im waiting for a good chunk of that as that mostly is my tax return, and not including a debt of around 30-40 i am owed by a current employer for a recent job done as tech work. I already know i want AMD as my chip and Nvidia as my graphics processor. I'm not necessarily wanting to do SLI as I'm sure one GTX570 graphics card would sit me plenty pretty and i found a good deal on one on newegg already, when added to the cart it came up with a price of $344.99 with a $30 mail in rebate. With the recent price drop on ALL AMD chips the 1100T is quite doable at the $239.99 price point it is now...when you think about it thats only $10.00 more then the 1090T was before the price drop so with that in mind i scoured newegg and found this kit as a basis for a custom build. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.575721
granted id still need the OS and the case and powersupply and video card and would have to consider cooling. I'm heavily favoring the Coolermaster CM Storm Scout Mid Tower, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit, a PC Power and Cooling 750 Watt PSU and the aformentioned GTX570 graphics card for that deal. I want to get the best performance for my $ and am planning on doing some light to midlevel overclocking which is why I want suggestions on a cooler for my cpu in the $60 or less range. I have 2 spare HDs, one is a terabyte by seagate and the other is a 250 gigabyte by seagate so the 60 gb ssd in the kit could be used just for OS and Drivers and windows updates. I've decided also on a bluray reader/dvd burner kit and those can be had off newegg for around $64. I'll be for sure reusing my 2.1 altec lansing speakers as they include a subwoofer and my Microsoft keyboard and mouse as they are both USB and i have a AOC 2236vw monitor with a dvi-d to dvi-d video cable. which means my budget is going wholey to the new hardware and OS. feel free to suggest changes to hardware and such as necessary, as I'd like to make sure the MB I get is good for overclocking.

$40 more for a 100mhz bump? Completely not worth it IMO.
Forgot the cooler underneath:
(Megahalem): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835242001&Tpk=megahalem
And 1/2 of these (Yate Loon Fans): http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...an_-_Open_Chassis_D12SH-12.html?tl=c15s60b119

This is a cheaper alternative. However, you also need to order the AM3 mounting system

looks pretty good but im still thinking id like to have 8 gigs of ddr3. never used a corsair psu

The ripjaws are really sick. I have not had a problem with them at all, maybe order two sets?

Secondly corsair psus are very reliable. I have two of them and love both. I have never had any issues with them and have only heard of good things. They are the only psu that I will buy at the moment until something better comes around.
