can anyone help with this? need to know what size of 1 i may need. dont care so much about how long the battery will last, but more about just being able to shut down properly.

APC BE 750G (450 watts). More than enough with plenty of overhead:

I'm using the older APC BE650 for my Windows 10 machine in my sig (390 watts) and it's more than enough.

On my cyber power 1500 I get about a 30 minute runtime. I have already had a couple instances of power outs. Other than a proper backup these things are mandatory pc items.
