CPU upgrade on old 1151 LGA lenovo 36C5 mobo

Old computer, not sure if I need to shoot it just yet

I have lenovo 36c5 1151 LGA, currently running i5 7400

I have another computer that can run i5 8400, but it has more memory


Can anyone tell me what the max cpu I can run in this old mobo?

A quick search on google yields little about that motherboard.

While waiting for more assistance here, I'd reach out to Lenovo and see what they say.

You would need to stay within the TDP of the motherboard. If the motherboard has a TDP rating of say, 65W, don't choose an upgrade CPU rated for 95 watts.
