well i just toyed around a little more and bumped the voltage up by .01 and now am running 4-4-4-5-12 2.2v from 4-4-5-5-12 2.1v both at 920MHZ!

my first kit is better than 2nd

does 4-4-4-4 500-510 MHz with 2.2V and 5-4-4 490 MHz with 2.1V

2nd kit only will do 4-4-4-4 around 450 mhz 2.2V and 5-4-4 460 mhz with 2.1V

i running 3 sticks dual channel and since the good oc'ing stick rely's on the stable setting of the not as good one well.......

but I am being nice to it and doing

430 MHz 4-5-5-8 with 2V and both stable

i'd rather be nice to the ram for long term usage

E6750@ 3.44 stable

and it's good enough for me

Daily (folding & a little gaming): 4-4-4-10 934mhz on 2.1v

Benching:
3-3-3-5 @ 800mhz 2.2v (did well over 900mhz once just for fun, then I had to RMA)
4-4-4-8 up to around 980mhz 2.3v
5-5-5-15 just short of 1200mhz 2.4v

And always a fan ;)

Did you do CAS3 on that P5W-DH?

I got some DDR2-1000 Ballistix a while back that would do 1160mhz on stock volts with low subtimmings but they died really quickly (2 weeks). The nice folks over at Crucial sent me some 8500's to replace them and these are even better than the first set!

1160mhz 5 5 5 15 @ 2.1v, performance level 7 and very low subtimings. Been running them like this for a few months now rock solid stable.

I'm running 4 x 1GB Crucial Ballsitx PC6400 sticks in my DFI NF590 SLI board. I bought one set of sticks over the summer, and another set about a month ago. So far without much tweaking, I'm running 470 (5-5-5-12-24) @ 1.85V about 1.86 actual according to my multimeter. 474 (5-5-5-12-24) fails prime instantly. I'm going to let them burn in a little before pushing on. I have not tested the sets individually as of yet.

sup guys, just a update, I was messing around with my 2 X 1 GB ballistix.
I got them to run at 532 which is 1064 effective!
The only thing is, I used to run 4 X 1 GB with 2 Kingston & 2 Crucial @ 934.
I took out the Kingstons & ran the Crucial's at 1064 but when I played Crysis
it was lagging like crazy. That never happened when I had the 4GB installed & running at 934.
Wish I could use both but guess I'll just keep the 4 GB installed @ 934.

maybe thers a problem with the RAM?

you done any stress tests?

Chaos, what do you mean "lagging"? Low FPS? Latency? etc etc

My results:

600mhz.jpg

Not even pushing them really...1200mhz 5-5-5-18 2.3v

Well yeah, way lower FPS. I dont know why?
I didnt run prime95 or memtest yet fully on the 1064 Crucials but I'll do that.
with the 4GB installed, Crysis ran fine, never would lag or get low fps in any areas. Although when I ran 3DMark 06, with the crucials 2GB I get the same score as running 4GB.

Would you say I should leave the crucials @ 1064 installed? Or go back
to the 4 X 1GB @ 934?
Thnx 4 the feedback guys.
