DDR5 demo in silicon

The demo currently runs at 4400C42, with speeds eventually going to 6400. 1.1v nominal. Availability from towards the end of 2019, overtaking DDR4 not until 2022. Don't hold your breath for this one.

I guess we will also see some 'caching' modules for fast access to data that requires it while DDR5 itself will work as typical high capacity RAM. If there won't be any additional help then latency can be already visible. Just some thoughts considering other memory projects that we may see in next years.
