Hi guys,
I noticed that the RJ45 connectors on my zmodo IP camera system start to corrode every 2-3years despite electrical tape and duct tape wrapping. Would it be safe to use dielectric grease from automotive usage on RJ45 + wrap the elctrical/duct tape afterwards? I'm hoping this method extends the life of the connectors thus not having me replace the cheap cameras every 2-3 years.
p.s. these are installed in a pretty foggy environment
